A few very minor bug fixes were posted.
- Try to handle a problem parsing numbers when unassigning a player from a team. I still haven't figured out why the value isn't formatted correctly, but now you will not get a fatal error. It will just refresh the view (which will most likely fix the problem and you can try again. I will still be able to see that you had problems, just won't get a fatal error.

Version 1.9 goes live!
Many new features and tons of bug fixes have gone into this latest version based on all of the feedback I have received over the last year. I won't list all of the nitty gritty bugs here, but I will list the new features:
- News/Announcements - Blog style: There is a new link in the menu called News that allows league admins to post announcements and updates in a blog format. Visitors will be visually notified that there are new posts to be viewed.
- RSS support: News and schedule data can be subscribed to via RSS feed readers allowing site users to be notified of updates without having to visit the site. If you want to know more about RSS, visit the RSS Specification site for more information and download an RSS feed reader.
- Calendar event labels can now have custom background AND text colors.
- Your facilities (rinks, fields, courts, etc.) can now be linked up to an online map via MapQuest.com. Just edit your existing facilities and specify an address and a map link will automatically be provided.
- Weather data is now available in the calendar. This feature will be expanded in the future.
- Facility conflict wizard: Viewing your list of facilities will now show a column identifying any double scheduling conflicts for the same facility.
- Sponsor links: League managers can now add league sponsor links to their site and they will be displayed at the top of each page the user visits. Logged in admins will not see the links (to avoid increased viewing stats) and view counts can be viewed by admins. Tell your league sponsors they have one more line of communication with your customers!
Why only version 1.9 with this many changes you ask? I hope to soon publish the 2.0 version sometime before fall seasons begin that will allow photo publishing. This new feature will allow you to publish photos and associate them with players, teams, divisions, etc.. Use of this feature will, unfortunately, cost more per month, since I will quickly run out of my available file space with all of the leagues posting pictures. Until that time, I am calling this version 1.x. Just wanted to get all of these other features into your hands.

New League Manager Beta
I have been slowly working on a new version of the League Manager application in anticipation spring and summer leagues. The new version will incorporate many of the new calendar features that I have listed below in some posts and well as other new features to be described latter. The main aim of this new version was to create a more stable environment that requires less maintenance. I believe that there will also be some significant performance increases for certain pages. Please check out the following leagues and let me know what you think:
A demo soccer league will also be added soon, but please email me if you wish to see that league sooner rather than later (right now it is on the backburner, but if I know someone will test it, then I'll put it up asap). Also, if you wish to test the new site with your own league, I'd be happy to set it up. However, this being a beta, in no way shape or form is your data protected or guarenteed to be stable.
Please let me know about any problems that you find. Please email all questions, comments, and concerns about the Beta to:
beta@onlinescorekeeper.com.

Added a new feature that will be expanded in the future if there is interest and use. Whenever you see a listing for a game, there will be an icon (
) that allows you to add a calendar event to your Microsoft Outlook, or Netscape calendar (most calendar apps will also be able to import the file as well). Those of you who use a calendar app with reminder capabilities will also like that a reminder is automatically added for you.
Future improvements will be to allow downloading of whole player, team, and division schedules in a single click.
Let me know if you discover any problems with this new functionality and if you have any suggestions.
